For a complete list, visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/collegiaterecovery.org\/crps-crcs\/\">collegiaterecovery.org\/crps-crcs<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A study conducted in 2016 on reasons for students joining a CRP found that:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The peer support network was the most frequently cited reason for joining a CRP&nbsp;(56%)<\/strong>, followed by nearly one-third (31%) of students joined the CRP because it offered a safe space on campus for recovery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>71%&nbsp;of CRP members said the CRP was &#8220;very important&#8221;<\/strong>&nbsp;to choosing their current institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One-third reported they would not be in college currently<\/strong>&nbsp;if not for the recovery support on campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"missouridata\">Missouri Data<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are currently 3 campuses in Missouri<\/strong>&nbsp;with Collegiate Recovery Programs (CRPs) who are part of the Missouri Alliance of Collegiate Recovery Organizations (MACRO). Visit our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mopip.org\/MACRO\/\"><strong>MACRO website<\/strong><\/a> to learn more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The 2025 Missouri Assessment of College Health Behaviors (MACHB) indicates that statewide in the past year:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:var(--global-color-8)\" class=\"has-inline-color\">4.1<strong>%&nbsp;<\/strong><\/mark><strong>&nbsp;of students identify as someone that is in recovery<\/strong>&nbsp;from an alcohol or drug addiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Students practice the following recovery formats*:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table class=\"has-base-2-background-color has-background has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>12 step program<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" reduction<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\"><strong>Other<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">12%<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">27%<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">23%<\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-center\" data-align=\"center\">27%<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When students were asked if their campus has a campus recovery program, organization, or center, they had the use disorders and recovery, myths and stigma about substance use disorders, how to use person-first and recovery friendly language, and how to support someone seeking in or already in recovery.
