The Eliminate Tobacco Use (ETU) Missouri Initiative works with college campuses and health care systems across the state to strengthen tobacco control policies, assist with prevention efforts, and increase access to cessation services through technical support.
Background:
The ETU Missouri Initiative was founded in 2019 as the fourth collaborative partner state joining Texas, Virginia, and New Jersey. ETU Missouri is housed on the University of Missouri’s campus within both the School of Medicine and Missouri Partners in Prevention.
Eliminate Tobacco Use Day is November 20th and is intended to amplify the national tobacco-free momentum. Use this media kit to promote tobacco prevention, campus policy, and cessation services at your institution not just for Eliminate Tobacco Use Day, but for the entire year!

Who should use this information?
Anyone doing tobacco prevention, policy or cessation work on campus. Prevention staff and peer educators may be particularly well equipped to utilize these materials as part of the outreach and education they are already doing.

Some media kit materials can be used instantly, like the included social media graphics and associated language. Other items might take additional lead time. We recommend allowing 2-4 weeks for materials that are printed.
