Engage is a multi-level violence prevention program that aims to address issues of alcohol and other drugs, bias and discrimination, interpersonal violence, and mental well-being through community engagement and bystander behaviors. The strategy frames bystander behavior within the context of community connection and sense of belonging.

Missouri Alliance of Collegiate Recovery Organizations (MACRO)
MACRO, the Missouri Alliance of Collegiate Recovery Organizations, is a statewide initiative to support addiction recovery efforts on college campuses. With support from the Missouri Department of Mental Health, MACRO provides resources, networking opportunities, and financial support for schools as they start and grow their own recovery support services.

MoSafeRx and Opioid Misuse and Overdose Prevention
Prescription drug misuse is a quickly growing and largely unaddressed problem concerning college students. With this RX Initiative, we hope to educate students on the dangers of prescription drug misuse as well as provide safe and healthy alternatives.
PIP PFI
The PIP PFI is a training program for pre-matriculated freshmen students aimed at educating about alcohol, tobacco/nicotine, and cannabis use.
The online training takes about 30 minutes and includes a questionnaire to assess the student’s current use of alcohol, tobacco/nicotine, and cannabis. Specific education about your campus policies and resources are provided. Additionally, students are given feedback about their current use as it relates to other first year students at your campus. This data is taken from the Missouri Assessment of Collegiate Health Behaviors. After the implementation of the program, your campus will receive a report of the substance use and abuse behaviors of your students in order to implement more effective prevention strategies in the first several months of campus.

Party Safe
Party Safe is a free, online training for students to increase skills and knowledge in planning and hosting a successful, fun, and safe event of any kind.

Missouri Show Me Retailer Training
The Missouri Show Me Retailer Training was developed to provide the information and tools necessary for retailers that sell tobacco and nicotine products to comply with the federal, state, and local laws.

The State of Missouri Alcohol Responsibility Training (SMART)
The State of Missouri Alcohol Responsibility Training (SMART) program is an interactive, web-based course available free of charge to those who own or work for any Missouri establishment licensed to sell alcohol.

If you’re a campus prevention or health promotion professional in Missouri, this site can help you access training and resources to help students quit.

PIP provides multiple resources on tobacco and nicotine cessation to help students quit or cut back, including cessation training for professionals, prevention and education materials, and a Tobacco Policy Handbook.

CHEERS
Bars, restaurants and nightclubs participating in CHEERS provide FREE non-alcoholic beverages to the acknowledged designated driver in a group of two or more.

PIP member campuses and the Missouri Department of Transportation are driven to help Missouri’s college students Drive Safe Drive Smart.
Mental Health & Suicide

Ask. Listen. Refer.
Ask Listen Refer is an online suicide prevention training tool that takes about 20 minutes to complete. The program addresses the need to educate students, faculty, staff, and parents about suicide prevention, and also addresses the need to have suicide prevention resources in an online format. The goal of this program is to educate students, faculty and staff on how to ASK is someone is thinking about suicide, LISTEN to their response and REFER them to a professional.

The goal of this program is to educate Missourians about the risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs of suicide for the general population and how to ASK if someone is thinking about suicide, LISTEN to their responses and REFER them to a professional.
